I watched the rest of the play from the wings just offstage,
무대 뒤편에서 연극을 지켜보았다.

heartbreaking 가슴이 터질듯한

flubbed a bit 실수가 있었지만(약간 당황했지만)

he was more nervous than all of the students put together.
그는 학생들을 합쳐놓은것보다 더 긴장했다.

was a wreck, frankly. 신경쇠약 직전이었다.
(난파선 직전이었어, 솔직히)

The only time I felt any regret
유일하게 후회가 됐다.

그 말이 적당한지 모르겠지만

rose to their feet when they took their bows.
그들이 고개를 숙여 절을 하자 모드 기립박수를 쳤다.

bittersweet 씁쓸했다.

Patting them on the back 등을 두드려 주었다.

it was that crazy backstage theater mayhem where sweaty actors stand euphoric while people come worship them for a few seconds. 사람들의 열렬한 축하 속에 땀에 젖은 배우들이 행복한 순간을 즐기며 서 있는 무대 뒤편은 그야말로 열광의 도가니였다.

Like Reid is known for really being into marine life and the oceans and things like that.
레이드는 해양 생물과 바다 같은 것들을 좋아하기로 유명하다.

Known for having been in a TV commercial
텔레비전 광고에 나온 걸로 유명하다.

My point is that in middle school you kind of get known for what you’re into, and you have to be careful about stuff like that.
그러니까 중학교에서는 자신이 잘하거나 좋아하는 일로 유명해지기 때문에 그런 문제에 신중할 필요가 있다는 얘기다.

Impressed 감동한듯

Wardrobe 옷장

though the Witch knew theg Deep Magic,
마녀는 심오한 마법을 알긴 하지만

there is a magic deeper still which she did not know.
그보다 더 심오한 마법이 있다는걸 모르고 있지.

Her knowledge goes bcak only to the dawn of time.
마녀는 태초 이후에 대해 알고 있을 뿐이다.

But if she could have looked a little further back, Into the stillness and the darkness before Time dauned, she would have read there a different incantaion.
하지만 마녀가 태초 이전의 고요와 어둠이 존재하던 때를 조금이라도 더 내다볼 수 있었더라면 다른 마법이 있다는 것도 알았을 거다.

Daybreak

clunking down 타당하고 내려갔다.

Knowing wherever I am, she’d be there with me.
내가 어디에 있든 내 곁에 있다는 사실을  깨닫게 해 주었고.
